6 Steps to a Clean Bathroom
Step One: Scrub the toilet. Put on your gloves and begin by spraying your toilet cleaner of choice in the bowl. Start scrubbing with a sponge from the top down. Let the cleaning solution sit in the toilet then flush. If stains are still present use a bristled brush for a more thorough clean. Lastly use a disinfectant and a microfiber cloth to clean the outside of your toilet.
Step Two: Clean your sink. Start by spraying the sink with a vinegar and water solution. Use a cloth to scrub away toothpaste and larger stain. Next fill with vinegar and let sit to loosen up soap scum. Next use a brush to remove soap scum. Lastly, wipe around the sink and use an old toothbrush to clean faucet handles and hard to reach areas.
Step Three: Clean the floor. Start by sweeping away larger debris with a dust tray. Next mix your preferred cleaning solution with some warm water and mop the floor. Clean grout with an old toothbrush and a solution of dish soap and warm water.
Step Four: Clean your shower and bathtub. Remove your and launder your shower curtains. Use a cloth or sponge to scrub your shower and tub. Next, rinse the soap away. If any soap scum still remains use a soap scum remover or scrub with vinegar. Lastly, clean the faucet and handles with vinegar, and then scrub with an unused toothbrush.
Step Five: Clean your mirrors and glass. Start by wiping your mirror with a microfiber cloth. Next mix white vinegar and water to create a mirror and glass cleaner. Dip newspaper in the solution and wipe and mirrors or glass shower doors from the top down. Then dry with a microfiber cloth from the top down.
Step Six: Clean your bathroom rugs. Bathroom rugs trap moisture like a sponge and can create unwanted odors. Depending on the quality or how dirty your rugs are you might want to consider using a professional carpet cleaning service to clean higher quality rugs and remove odors or stains.
